The sun’s out, it’s a gorgeous day, and although it’s only March, I thought I’d make summery smoothies for snack-time. These are just delicious and perfect for blitzing any lingering winter colds and boosting your vitamin intake.
We’re aiming to keep to 20g carb snacks between meals, and I managed to measure these to make them bang on.
Ingredients (serves 3):
160g of mixed frozen berries (I used Waitrose LoveLife berry smoothie mix, with blackcurrants, raspberries & bananas)
450ml fresh apple juice
These quantities will make 750ml of smoothie
Method:
Whizz the berries and apple juice together in a blender – and that’s it!

20g carbs per 250ml glass
